This book is only available as a digital book because it would be impossible to include the full extent of this information in any other form. If you are unfamiliar with this format, as I was, you will discover a new world of convenience unavailable in any other format.

Upon purchase you will instantly be provided with the book file that will be added to your personal library and view at anytime, anywhere. You will also receive links to free software enabling you to view your book on PC, Mac, iPad, Kindle Reader, tablet, or smartphone.

These applications provide an almost unlimited variety of features to make access and utilization as easy as possible. For example, you can highlight text in a variety of colors, change font, view one or more pages at time, have the text automatically read to you, and automatically bookmark the point where you stop reading and return you to that spot later. AND if that is not enough…you can listen to the companion podcast at the end of each chapter from your computing device, car radio, or home stereo system!

For those of you that decide to purchase, I would appreciate you taking the time to provide a brief review of the value and quality of the information presented on each of these important topics. There is a description of the submission process at the end of the last chapter. Reviews are a proven way to boost sales and get the word out.

I want to stress how important it is for me to know that the thousands of hours I dedicate each year to researching and creating my newsletters and this book provide genuine and unique value. This is especially important because, to date, I have not realized any financial benefit from my efforts. However, my primary goal is to demystify and simplify the complex processes underlying all chronic disease conditions while presenting actionable solutions. This work is fueled by my deepest motivation: to educate the average person, empower them with knowledge that allows them to make their own health decisions, and contribute meaningfully to improving quality of life and extending the productive lifespan of humanity.

You can help amplify my mission by sharing my newsletters and books with like-minded friends, family, and coworkers. No single individual, political party, or nation can tackle this challenge alone. As with every major existential crisis, success requires the majority to unite as one, just as we do in times of war. Yet, in this battle, the adversary we face is ourselves…

We are not a perfect species, but we possess remarkable potential, adaptability, and intelligence—qualities that can drive profound progress when harnessed for the greater good. However, when we narrow our focus to immediate self-interest and short-term needs, chaos often follows. Consider the turmoil in the White House, Ukraine, Russia, Syria, and Gaza. Why must conflict and division so often define us, becoming the rule rather than the exception?

Now, consider the critical value of health in our world. Ultimately, it surpasses all other threats in importance, yet our national health continues to decline—despite spending more on healthcare than any other nation on Earth. This stark reality is a clear sign that something in our approach is fundamentally flawed…

Our mistake lies in our focus and reliance on solutions provided by big pharmaceutical companies and the profit-driven promotion of lab-developed drugs. Instead of drawing inspiration and guidance from nature, we have prioritized a monetarily driven approach. While this paradigm has been successful in combating infectious diseases, it may not be the holistic solution we need to move forward.

The problem lies in the ineffectiveness of this approach to treating many chronic diseases. There will never be a “pill” capable of curing heart disease, diabetes, cancer, or neurodegenerative conditions like Alzheimer’s. These diseases are rooted in metabolic dysfunction, driven by a myriad of factors such as excessive consumption of highly processed food, sedentary lifestyles, and exposure to environmental pollutants. As a result, the combined health care costs of the diseases listed above was more than five trillion dollars in 2023 and is growing exponentially.

I am going to suggest a place to start reversing this trend. This may sound trite or overly simplistic, but as I see it, the problem IS simple, but the solution is not… Every living thing on this planet evolved and were created by the forces present in their environment. We call this natural selection; Darwin termed the effect “Survival of the Fittest.” Whatever you call it, our physiology was created by these factors...When we change what we eat or our physical routine is the time that our bodies begin to malfunction.

We mistakenly believe that if something tastes good, it must be good for us... Thank goodness that donuts don’t grow on trees... Or French fries and candy bars don’t grow out of the soil down by the river of Coca Cola that flows though it… if they did, we would have died out some time ago…

Our challenge lies in recognizing that our modern diet and lifestyle are the primary drivers behind the development of all chronic diseases. To reclaim optimal health, we must make meaningful changes. This requires actively choosing healthier options—a task made difficult by our addiction to foods that slowly impair our body’s natural functions. Tragically, we prioritized taste over nutrition, allowing this issue to persist and enabling the rise of a system dominated by profit-driven food producers. When we combine this with the increasing prevalence of sedentary lifestyles, we face the makings of a profound health crisis.

I hope many of you had the opportunity to read my newsletter, “Little Secrets,” published on March 5th. This document highlights small, nature-inspired changes we can make to our diet and lifestyle that are attainable at any age. If you are a parent, it is essential to instill these habits in your children, setting them up for a long, healthy life free from disease and disability. These changes will not happen overnight; they require your commitment and adherence to these principles, with the understanding that consistency matters more than quantity. Above all, you MUST BELIEVE that we have the power to change our fate.

Thank you for your time. If you share the belief that we can achieve this ambitious goal, I encourage you to reflect on the ideas shared in this letter. Please take any steps you can to raise awareness and support the adoption of these principles inspired by nature that have shaped our evolution.

Until next time, take care and stay POSITIVE…Dr. G
